The Squirrels’ Nest programs are enhanced by the involvement of placement students, and volunteers. Squirrels’ Nest Policies and Procedures as well as the Ministry of Education, Public Health and Fire Regulations are reviewed with all students and volunteers prior to co-op placement or volunteer work begins.

Students or volunteers will:

 ·   Never be counted in the teacher to child ratios

 ·   Never left alone with the children unsupervised

 ·   Never administer medication
